Video Shows UFO Moving Through Sky Behind St. Peter's During Pope John Paul II Funeral

(Raiders News Update) - Indianapolis News Channel 8 released a video taken Thursday evening of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City showing what appears to be an unidentified flying object moving across the upper left portion of the screen. The video, taken from a network feed camera at around 6:00 am Roman time, was filmed as Pope John Paul II lay in state.

24 Hour News 8 meteorologists said the white object seen passing on a diagonal trajectory from the upper middle part of the screen to the left could possibly be a bird. Others were not so sure.

A long history of UFO sightings in connection to momentous or major religious historical events has caught the eye of reporters down through time. One can actually follow the life of Christ in connection to UFO appearances. Based on the depictions of some of the era artists and records keepers, not all of these 'UFOs' were birds; many appear to be something else.

Below is a sampling of historical UFO sightings related to the life and finally the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. One can only wonder what the latest slate of 'sightings' from around the world and timed at the passing of Pope John Paul II may mean.

In 1710, Flemish artist Aert De Gelder painted this unusaul depiction entitled "The Baptism of Christ." It clearly shows a disc shaped object hovering in the sky above Christ and emitting four beams down upon Him and John the Baptist. The painting is currently on display at the Fitzwilliam Musuem, Cambridge.

Paolo Uccello sometime in the 1400's painted the "La Tebaide". The picture is now on display at the Academy of Florence. Near Jesus is a red 'flying saucer' hovering in the air.

A fresco located above the altar at the Visoki Decani Monestary in Kosovo, Yugoslavia shows "The Crucifixion," a painting made in 1350. Two flying objects with beings inside them are visible in the top left and right of the fresco.

In the 15th century an unknown artist at the Lippi School painted "The Madonna with Saint Giovannino" showing a disk
shaped object above Mary's right shoulder. A man and his dog
stand looking up at the object.

These are just a few of the historical depictions of UFO's - whatever they are - keeping watch on the dispensations of Christianity. In these cases I can say without equivocation, they're not like any birds I've ever seen.
