18:21 - 21 February, 2005 I think Gannon and McClellan know eachother if Gannon is talking to him on the phone back in Dec. 2003. Here is an excerpt of the "interview" from Talon.com When asked about the rising death toll in Iraq, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan told Talon News, "There was an announcement by the Iraqi Governing Council earlier this week about the tribunal that they have set up to hold accountable members of the former regime who were responsible for three decades of brutality and atrocities. And we welcome that decision by the Governing Council." From April 1, 2004, we have Gannon making commentary as opposed to actually asking a question. This is NOT a question, Mr. Gannon/Guckert, it is a comment.
GANNON: I'd like to comment on the angry mob that surrounded Karl Rove's house on Sunday. They chanted and pounded on the windows until the D.C. police and Secret Service were called in. The protest was organized by the National People's Action Coalition, whose members receive taxpayer funds, as well as financial support from groups including Theresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation.. Next we have Gannon talking about his interview with Joesph Wilson about the Niger Uranium claims and CIA leak. It is still very odd.
" Now, Jeff Gannon, who is a terrific Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent for Talon News, actually shot me an e-mail today, and he's about to break a story in an exclusive about these CBS documents. [The Sean Hannity Show, 9/10/04]
There is something really odd when other Web-Based News Organizations cannot ever get access to the WhiteHouse let alone within 50 feet of the President.. Do not let this story die by ignorance or a "Distraction".
For what? "Political assassination" isn't a cause of action, not to mention, folks did their jobs and discovered the truth about Gannon - a truth that he advertised quite proudly and willingly on the Internet (imagine a jury looking at the pissing photos Gannon willingly advertised on the Net). If Gannon sues, that means he gets to testify under oath and be deposed under oath. And if he lies or twists his words, like he appears to have done in practically every interview to date, when being asked lots and lots of questions UNDER OATH about his ties to the escort business, asked who his clients are, about his ties to Eberle, about his ties to the White House, it's perjury and he could go to jail. Oh, and I can't wait until we call Senator Thune, Scott McLellan and Ari Fleischer come to the stand. Not to mention, prostitution is illegal in Washington, DC. If Gannon wants to get the courts involved, he ought to think real hard before he goes there. Jeff Gannon is considering suing liberal interest groups, bloggers and others for a "political assassination" that drove him from his job as a reporter for a conservative news outfit called Talon News, he told NEWSWEEK. Gannon, whose real name is James Guckert, singled out Media Matters -- a "well-funded" liberal group headed by longtime "attack dog" David Brock. ("Everything we wrote about him came from the public record," Brock replied.) Sit back folks and enjoy the show. "Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal."
