In what appears to be the most toxic effort yet in this election to steal the rights and voices of voters by the Republican Party, GOP-funded Voters Outreach of America has reportedly trashed numerous voter registration forms in Nevada and other states. Buzzflash is all over this. According to other blog sources, there are records of this going on by Voter Outreach in Oregon and West Virginia. There are KLAS-TV in Nevada,

"Employees of a private voter registration company allege that hundreds, perhaps thousands of voters who may think they are registered will be rudely surprised on election day. The company claims hundreds of registration forms were thrown in the trash.

"Anyone who has recently registered or re-registered to vote outside a mall or grocery store or even government building may be affected.

"The I-Team has obtained information about an alleged widespread pattern of potential registration fraud aimed at Democrats. The focus of the story is a private registration company called Voters Outreach of America.

"The out-of-state firm has been in Las Vegas for the past few months, registering voters. It employed up to 300 part-time workers and collected hundreds of registrations per day, but former employees of the company say that Voters Outreach of America only wanted Republican registrations.

"Two former workers say they personally witnessed company supervisors rip up and trash registration forms signed by Democrats.

"'We caught her taking Democrats out of my pile, handed them to her assistant and he ripped them up right in front of us. I grabbed some of them out of the garbage and she tells her assisatnt to get those from me,' said Eric Russell, former Voters Outreach employee.

"Eric Russell managed to retrieve a pile of shredded paperwork including signed voter registration forms, all from Democrats. We took them to the Clark County Election Department and confirmed that they had not, in fact, been filed with the county as required by law.

"So the people on those forms who think they will be able to vote on Election Day are sadly mistaken. We attempted to speak to Voters Outreach but found that its office has been rented out to someone else."

This is Oregon now...
Where's the outcry?

A Republican canvasser says he was instructed to only accept Republican registration forms.
A Republican canvasser tells a TV reporter that he "might" destroy forms turned in by Democrats.
Similar voter registration fraud reported in Las Vegas.
Eric Russell, a former Voters Outreach of America employee, tells a TV station he had personally witnessed his supervisor take out Democratic registration forms from the pile and shred them. The company has been largely funded by the Republican National Committee...

I ask you... where is the outcry? What kind of person or persons engage in this conduct? Why aren't these people arrested? In my eyes, this is treason.

Oregon Opens Probe of Voter Fraud Charges

By JULIA SILVERMAN, Associated Press Writer

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oregon officials have opened an investigation into alleged improper voter registration practices, Secretary of State Bill Bradbury said Wednesday.

The investigation follows a television report in which a paid-per-registration canvasser said he had been instructed only to accept registrations from Republicans, and that he "might" destroy those from Democrats.

It was not immediately clear what group employed the canvasser.

Bradbury said the investigation would be based not only on the KGW-TV report, but also on other complaints that have not yet been made public.

In Roseburg, Douglas County Clerk Barbara Nielsen said she had received a complaint from voters who said canvassers working for a Chandler, Ariz.-based consulting firm, Sproul & Associates, tried to push them into registering as Republicans, saying otherwise the canvassers wouldn't get paid for their efforts.

Additionally, Nielsen said she had gotten calls from voters who said canvassers from the same group had implied that their cards wouldn't be turned in if they registered as Democrats.

Sproul & Associates is run by Nathan Sproul, a former head of the Republican Party in Arizona who has subcontracted with the Republican National Committee (news - web sites) to do voter outreach.

Reached in Arizona, Sproul told The Associated Press that "we registered anyone who wanted to register."

A spokesman for the Republican National Committee said the party has "a zero-tolerance policy for anything that smacks of impropriety in registering voters."

Similar voting fraud allegations surfaced against Sproul & Associates in Nevada, where authorities said Wednesday that they were "looking into whether any state or federal laws were violated."

In Nevada, a former employee of a Sproul & Associates group called Voter Outreach of America told reporters Wednesday that he had seen his boss shred eight to 10 Democratic registration forms.

Sproul denied any shredding occurred.
